ZSL launches new Zoo to Zoo Bike Ride for 2017 Sunday 2 July, 2017

International conservation charity ZSL (the Zoological Society of London) is calling on cyclists of all abilities to pump up their tyres and sign up for its brand new Zoo to Zoo Bike Ride on Sunday 2 July 2017.

The wildest bike ride in the south east will see cyclists pushing their pedals for wildlife on this Sunday morning ride. The long-distance route will take in three counties along the journey, with cityscapes and countryside vistas to admire along the way.

Starting at ZSL London Zoo in Regent’s Park and finishing at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo near Dunstable, riders will head north out of London onto the open roads of Hertfordshire, before ending up in the middle of the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside.

The ride is suitable for speedy spinners and freewheeling fundraisers alike, and with two distances to choose from, 35 or 50 miles, ZSL’s Zoo to Zoo Bike Ride will be fun for both novices and pros.

Whether as a warm-up for an upcoming race, or a Sunday summer cycle with friends, funds raised by those sat in the saddle will help ZSL to work for wildlife and protect some of the world’s most threatened species including elephants and tigers, which both face threats from poaching and habitat loss.

Spaces are available! Book by Friday 23rd June to secure a place in the pack.

If you can’t make the ride, be first past the post and check out the other challenges ZSL has on offer for 2017. Whether running, swimming, streaking or fire walking, ZSL has something for everyone.
