HMS Belfast is a museum ship, originally a Royal Navy light cruiser, permanently moored in London on the River Thames and operated by the Imperial War Museum. It’s moored a short walk from Tower Bridge.
It famously served protecting the Arctic convoys to the Soviet Union, when chilly sailors kept watch for German U-boats from its decks.
Today its story is told through helpful hands, first hand accounts of those who serves on it and a chance to go below decks to see the cabins and engine rooms to get a sense of what life was like aboard.
Its open from 10am til 6pm everyday
