Opening its doors for a 7th year, Bootstrap Company’s beloved rooftop venue Dalston Roof Park (DRP) returns at the end of April 2017 for another unforgettable summer of quality music, food and drinks.
Evolving annually, this year will see the DRP’s biggest step forward in distinguishing itself from the rest of London's rooftop bars and venues.
The programming will see a new wave of bookings and a music policy that will have some of the UK's most cutting edge promoters, record labels and artists taking over the space with roof parties like never before. So far you can expect to party with the the likes of Rinse FM, Avant Garde, Into The Woods, Bloop London, Definition, House Of Disco, CTRL Sound, Fervor, Pop On Over, Odyssy, La Habana, Eagervision and Scott Garcia's 'It's a London Thing' Party. Plus huge one off performances, showcases, launch parties and secret gigs currently being planned.
DRP announces the addition of a brand new, state of the art retractable roofing system. As we all know London is infamous for its unpredictable weather so we want to help ensure the fun times come rain or shine.
And if that wasn’t already enough, the bar will be replenished with a new menu and look; accompanied by a sister tiki bar on the opposite side of the roof boasting a wide variety of cocktails and drinks offerings, ensuring less time spent queuing and more time enjoying the view.
We’re not giving everything away, so you will just have to make your way up to the roof and experience all the changes for yourself.
That’s not to say the space will have lost its original charm, staying true to its roots, DRP will continue to open throughout the week as an urban oasis boasting a fresh palette of all the usual greenery.
You can also look forward to a range of alternative events from poetry and comedy gigs to film screenings, charity fundraisers and yoga classes! Across the summer the roof will remain open in the day and the evening during the week, so even if you just fancy a beer and some BBQ food in the sun, the doors will be open.
This year DRP re introduces three other event spaces – The Bootyard, The Print House Galleryand The Bunker. There will be more events taking place in The Bootyard, a 300 capacity outdoors area and lots more exhibitions and pop-ups in The Bunker, DRP’s secret WW2 basement. The Print House Gallery will once again be taking on new exhibitions and collaborating on projects throughout 2017.
In-house food will be served every evening by new resident chefs Far Out Food; on hand to cater for all tastes; from summer BBQ’s to fine dining; you can expect a range of delicious seasonal food on rotation.
Bootstrap’s own in-house brewery and rooftop regulars 40FT Brewery return, and will be joined this year by UK favourites Brewdog, both offering a selection of their finest beers on tap.
Becoming a Bootstrap Friend will offer even greater rewards this season as well as making it easier to attend one-off events.
All money made on the DRP goes directly back into supporting Bootstrap’s charitable mission, so you can feel good whilst you relax and enjoy the sun.
