Wild About Wetlands
It's that time of year again and it's time to go wild about the wetlands and take part in loads of fun and free activities!
For 2019 we have some amazing activities including:
Pond dipping
Wetland Detective Trail - complete this and you'll win a prize!
Nature and wildlife arts and crafts
Meet the bees, bats and birds
Guess the nest/skull flip up quiz
and much much more!
Meet the animals from Lee Valley Park Farms including rabbits and guinea pigs, see the buzzing bees from Waltham Abbey Beekeepers, hold a bird of prey and listen to interesting talks about bats!
Top tips
There will be two guided walks around the Cornmill Meadows taking place at 11:00 and 13:00 where we will be searching for minibeasts!
Get your face painted as your favourite animal for only £2!
Why not bring a picnic and make the most of a summers day in Waltham Abbey Gardens? Alternatively refreshments will be available at Waltham Abbey Church

By train: the nearest station is Waltham Cross on the Liverpool Street line (20 minute walk)
By bus: the 251 goes from the station to the town
By car: Waltham Abbey is a 5 minute drive from the M25 (J26)
