  • Paternoster Chop House 1 Warwick Court, Paternoster Row London, EC4M 7DX United Kingdom (map)

Paternoster Chop House in St Paul’s focus on the best of British produce as well as the best of British cooking. From line-caught fish and ethically-reared rare breeds of meat right through to seasonal vegetables and artisan cheeses, everything they serve – even the butter – has been carefully chosen for its quality and flavour.

Paternoster Chop House is a D&D London restaurant located in the heart of the City of London, right next to St Paul’s Cathedral, and is the perfect place to experience modern British food using the best of British produce. D&D London stands for CEO Des Gunewardena and MD David Loewi who led the buyout of Conran Restaurants in September 2006. The company has been backed by leading UK equity house LDC since April 2013 and owns and operates over 30 leading restaurants in London, Leeds, Paris, New York and Tokyo.

David has trained under Pierre Koffmann, whose cooking style became a great influence. David later worked at J. Sheekey, where he spent five years working under Tim Hughes, before moving to Le Caprice in New York. He has also worked at Annabel’s, reopened the Devonshire Arms following Gordon Ramsay’s departure and launched various D&D projects, including New Street Grill, as well as their restaurants in Leeds; Crafthouse and Angelica. David joined Paternoster Chop House earlier this year and has helped to reaffirm the restaurant’s reputation as a City favourite by introducing innovative dishes and menus. As an advocate of ‘nose to tail’ cooking, David dedicates time at Paternoster to teaching the younger members of his team the butchery skills and approach necessary to make the best use of the whole animal.
