A Latin American town will soon be nestled above Old Street roundabout set with town square, chapel, bodega and plenty of parties
The demolition of Old Street roundabout has been given a slight delay, a direct consequence is The Magic Roundabout is allowed to stay open until January 1st 2019. This is officially London’s last chance to catch The Magic Roundabout in action before it disappears for good in London’s unrelenting regeneration. This Autumn and Winter The Magic Roundabout present Fiesta Del Magia, the heated outdoor space will be turned into a smoking hot slice of Latin America, the last few months will be a homage to all things we might expect in a small, off the beaten track, Latin American town. From Friday October 12th the main dancefloor will turn into a town square while the onsite chapel will be the perfect place to confess sins alongside Frida’s cocktail bar, the town Bodega plus private seating areas and more.
The main dance floor will be turned into the town square where it's a fiesta every night. Expect beautiful bright colours and patterns filling the covered dance floor with DJs keeping the crowd going till late. A hidden chapel will be decked out with seating, confession stand, stained glass windows and shrine. A perfect place for a hidden drink amongst friends.
Frida’s is the onsite cocktail bar, suitable for up to 125 guests with its own bar, fully covered and heated. Quite possibly, the cosiest space in The Magic Roundabout, it offers a combination of booth, low level and dining table seating and the decor will be inspired by Frida Khalo's iconic home in Mexico; think bright blues, cactus, and art, lots of art!
Right next to the DJ booth and with great views over the dancefloor, the Bodega comfortably accommodates up to 35 guests with seating for up to 20 guests. This area is being transformed into the town's bodega- the place for a bargain and a gossip...or could it all be a front for something a little naughtier...?
The Magic Roundabout has been a top location for any Old Street bar crawl, or those looking for a decent party since June 2015. With The Magic Roundabout era coming to a close thanks to the redevelopment of Old Street Station and roundabout, this will be the last time London can experience it in all its glory. The ever changing themes have kept the venue fun and interesting over the years.
