iVisit.... London Ghost Walk

Explore the City of London, one of the most historic areas of the British capital, and enjoy captivating tales in fascinating hidden locations that even most locals don’t know about. An expert local guide will bring the sights and stories to life.

Experience London as never before, a darker London riddled with crime, violence, mystery and hauntings. By day the financial and business capital of London, the City of London is also one of the oldest parts of the city, with two thousand years of history waiting to come alive for you. See many sites, some world famous, some practically unknown, some hidden, and hear stories of murder and mayhem, robbery and organised crime, hauntings and ghostly visions from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Many ghostly figures are said to walk the streets of the City of London, and on this evening walking tour you will learn their stories, often tragic, sometimes gruesome. Learn about the ghost of one of Britain’s best loved authors, Charles Dickens, hear the stories of the woman who haunts the Bank of England, and those of two beautiful but murderous queens, who occasionally cross paths and can be seen fighting in the gloom of the evening.

Hear about grave robberies that took place here. Walk over ancient burial pits, learn about witchcraft trials and public executions – hanging, burning, boiling and roasting alive, amongst other terrible fates were met in the alleys and ancient buildings of the City of London.

London’s dark and criminal past will be brought to life, as you learn about the life and crimes of the infamous Jack the Ripper. Visit Smithfield’s market to hear the stories of Bloody Mary and the ghost of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the ‘Grey Lady’.

End your tour at a Victorian pub with a secret. Built on the site of an old prison, you’ll be able to go into the cellars and see the smallest prison cells in London, haunted today by a poltergeist. Enjoy a thrilling evening stroll in the company of an expert guide, as you explore one of London’s most historical and fascinating areas.
