iVisit.... The Grant Museum of Zoology

The Grant Museum of Zoology is the only remaining university zoological museum in London. It houses around 68,000 specimens, covering the whole Animal Kingdom.

Founded in 1828 as a teaching collection, the Museum is packed full of skeletons, mounted animals and specimens preserved in fluid. Many of the species are now endangered or extinct including the Tasmanian Tiger, the Quagga, and the Dodo.

They are open to the public Monday - Saturday 1-5pm. They are also open for group and research visits on weekday mornings 10am - 1pm, when advanced booking is required.

iVisit.... a Science Afternoon Tea @ Ampersand Hotel

The Ampersand Hotel is inviting children and adults alike to transport themselves to The Drawing Rooms for an out of this world exploration of its Science Afternoon Tea.

Inspired by the hotel’s South Kensington neighbour, The Science Museum, the afternoon tea boasts a star menu where guests can explore a delicious selection of themed treats including a Goat cheese, pumpkin and sage quiche or blood orange & passion fruit jelly Petri dish.

Budding scientists can also dust for a collection of dinosaur chocolates and use test tubes to sprinkle toppings on the homemade plain & white chocolate scones.
