As part of the free summer exhibition The Learned Society of Extra Ordinary Objects, opening this week, Somerset House will be putting on a series of late night events offering free drinks from a pop-up Sipsmith Gin Bar plus temporary tattoos and live music.
The exhibition will see the Terrace Rooms transformed into the headquarters of a fictional society for a unique design exhibition centred on imagination, narrative and storytelling. It will include original artworks and found objects exploring the possibilities of everyday design from 30 designers, makers and artists.
The first late night will be on Tuesday 18 July, 6.30-9pm, where tattoo artist Roofer who will be design free hand-drawn temporary tattoos inspired by the objects celebrated in the exhibition, and guests can have up to three drinks from the pop-up gin bar.
