Who is Jenan?

Jenan is a British Ethnic ‘Brethnic’ comedian of Middle Eastern heritage. Her comedy on stage has been described as a ‘slap in the face’ in the most pacifist sense possible. She is founder of the “Weapons of Mass Hilarity” comedy night championing comedians with ties to the Middle East.

Jenan was recently one of the winners of the BBC New Voices 2019 competition and she is a regular on the BBC Asian Network’s ladies panel, Resonance FM’s Very Loose Women and TalkRadio and provides the greatest vocal impersonation of Stacey Dooley WORLDWIDE. has appeared on Global Pillage, BBC Three, BBC Radio 4 and BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live.

Jenan was due to tour this year but was obviously cancelled so she has released some snippets from BBC New Voices Winner Jenan’s stand-up show ‘Jenanistan’ recorded earlier this year for us all to enjoy for free.
