Last month the Museum of London shifted focus to bring first-class online content to visitors at home while their physical doors are closed.

We’re pleased to share today that the most recent additions to the Museum for London online programming is a series of free online events ranging across videos, talks, tours and in-conversations that you can enjoy right from home.

Highlights include:

Shaping the city: history of the Huguenots

Mon 15 Jun, Tue 16 Jun, Wed 17 Jun, Thu 18 Jun, Fri 19 Jun

Join us to celebrate Refugee Week 2020 and learn about the importance of refugees throughout London’s history, from the Huguenots of Spitalfields arriving in the 16th Century to modern refugees, reshaping London today with influences from across the world.

This short series of five videos will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the story of these historical refugees, thanks to objects from our collection and from The Huguenot Museum.

The videos will be introduced by Dr Tessa Murdoch, Research Curator at V&A and Getty Rothschild Fellow 2019. We will also hear from the Director of the Huguenot Museum, Dr Dinah Winch.
