Following the success of the inaugural festive market in November 2017, the pop-up extravaganza will return with three new dates to mark the beginning of spring. The first market will take place on Saturday 28th April, between 10.00am and 5.00pm, returning on the last Saturday of each month throughout the summer season.
This December, London’s most picturesque Christmas market returns to the banks of the River Thames for its fourth year. Set against the backdrop of some of London’s most loved landmarks, London Bridge City’s Christmas by the River will run from Thursday 30th November to Wednesday 3rd of January.

The response to this new market is very positive and it is now very much a ‘MUST DO’ event during the busy run-up to Christmas in London. A change to the layout has been made to accommodate a wonderful Victorian Carousel for the little ones (and the grown up little ones). The Christmas Market at Tate Modern really does bring back the real Christmas feeling to Tate Modern, Bankside London, transforming the northern landscape of Tate Modern into a Christmassy attraction for the whole family.
Beautiful authentically decorated wooden chalets will sell a wide range of unique hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents. Many delightful products are offered in a magical winter atmosphere. Sip a warming “Glühwein” (German Mulled Wine), enjoy a famous Bratwurst or indulge yourself with roasted nuts, gingerbread hearts and many other delicious treats. As well as shopping, the carousel within the Christmas Market and traditional Christmas music will enthrall visitors, filling them with the Christmas spirit. Also you can find a Christmas Grotto to meet Santa as well a “Thomas, the steam engine” as a little kiddy ride.

The Tate Modern Christmas Market is ideally located to start a London excursion – close to the famous St. Paul’s Cathedral (via the Millennium Bridge), Shakespeare Globe and Borough Market.
Getting to our Christmas Market could not be simpler – it is easily reached via public transport, with the closest station at Blackfriars via its new south entrance. Other nearby stations include Southwark, as well as St Paul’s and Mansion House north of the river which can be reached via the Millennium Bridge. There is also the bankside pier just outside the Christmas Market with regular passenger boat services up and down the Thames (commuter service) and the Tate to Tate service, which connects Tate Modern with Tate Britain.
A drop off / pick up point for the coaches is situated on Millbank, just outside the main entrance of Tate Britain.
Best of Britannia heads to Bloomsbury Square from September 30 to October 2 2016 for its biggest ever London event, with fascinating hands-on workshops and how-to lessons, wine-tasting, cocktail-making, makeovers, and much more, as well as carefully curated British brands exhibiting their finest.
Among the things to see and do at, there’s a pop-up barber shop from Soho’s sharpest We Are Cuts, skincare advice from Puriskin and makeovers from The English Mineral Makeup Company.
There’s winetasting with South Downs-based Wiston Estate whose sparkling wines have made it a one-to-watch in wine circles. Taste Devon-made award-winning ice cream and sorbets from Purbeck Ice Cream, attend cocktail-making masterclasses by Pinkster Gin and artisan distillers Sweet Potato Spirit Company, plus try some of the best food and drinks available from British makers, from craft beers to artisan chocolate, and hand-crafted bottled cocktails from Longflint.
Luxury leather goods makers Holdall & Co. will be hand-embossing leather on-site. Fashion Enter’s team will be hosting a pattern-cutting workshop, a ‘how-to’ on using a sewing machine, and a make your own t-shirt area. The London-based not-for-profit fashion studio will also be making pieces from June Sarpong’s new Ldny collection. Plus watch hand embroidery specialists Hand & Lock in a demonstration of their craft, and watch a Harris Weaving Loom from Emir in action.
Best of Britannia London 2016 is also celebrating the third annual Buy British Day on October 1st. Focusing attention on the provenance and quality of British brands and British-made product, and in partnership with Made In Britain, Buy British Day supports British brands who make in Britain, encouraging British consumers to buy British – if only for one day.
On Buy British Day, Best of Britannia also partners with the Classic Car Boot Sale in King’s Cross, presenting the finest vintage fashion, accessories and homewares, all operating from the boots of their vintage vehicles, alongside an exhibit of classic cars, street food wagons, music and street theatre. With a special 2-for-1 ticket for only £8, you can see two great London events in one day.
Best of Britannia was founded by Antony Wallis, Esme Lynch and Joe Pidgeon; fashion designer Wayne Hemingway MBE is a non-executive director, David Evans of Grey Fox Blogcurates the menswear section, and both TV personality June Sarpong MBE and British menswear designer and TV personality Patrick Grant are ambassadors.

The Bromley Food Fest is a brand new festival designed to celebrate the vibrant food and drink outlets in Bromley town centre. The festival is brought to you by YourBromley, the Business Improvement District.
The inaugural Bromley Food Fest will take place from 15th to 17th September with a fun packed programme for foodies to feast their eyes on.
The first ever Bromley Food Trail will see around 20 restaurants offer mini plates allowing visitors to taste a range of cuisines as they visit some of the best eateries Bromley has on offer, scoring them as they go. Restaurants already confirmed include Havet, The Railway, Sanxia Renjia, El Parasol, Nick’s Café, Yo! Sushi, Benito’s Hat and Project Pie, with many more to come. Visitors to the town centre will be given a map of participating outlets to help them plan their route.
A launch party, live music and a kids’ recipe competition will add to the festival feel making The Bromley Food Fest a must.
The Bromley Food Fest is funded by Your Bromley BID, a not for profit company created by local businesses, for local businesses. Frances Forest, BID manager, commented “The BID is building a programme of activities to support all the businesses in Bromley. We are delighted to support the food and drink businesses of Bromley with this brand new event, with something for all the family to enjoy".

The award-winning London chocolatier that bears his name will be featuring a selection of delicacies, including their handmade Easter Egg which forms the basis of a rich chocolate drink.
Diana David: Diana’s delicious speciality confections include roasted almond roses and cranberry and orange slabs, all presented in beautiful packaging so they look as delightful as they taste.
Simply Hand Made Chocolate: Also making an appearance this year is Resident Chocolatier at the market, Alistair Croll, Founder of Simply Hand Made Chocolates, with his exquisite handcrafted artisan chocolates and macaroons.
The chocolate market will be running alongside the Square’s regular Fine Food Market between 10am and 4pm.
