Black Rock Whisky Bar is the newest brainchild of Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson. The duo are out to reinvent the world of whisky, with a creative cocktail menu and over 250 bottles of the stuff from producers all over the world. However they don't just stop there… continuing in an effort to break down boundaries, Black Rock Whisky Bar in-fact, has no bar at all, they have done away with the traditional bar set-up and instead have installed an 18ft, 185-year-old oak tree trunk slap bang in the centre of Black Rock.
Not only will a ‘roaming’ bartender mix drinks for guests sat around the oak trunk, it will function as a whisky ageing system…two channels, one lined with American charred oak and the other toasted European oak, will age two whisky cocktails as they are poured from the other end of the trunk.
If you're a whisky connoisseur - put this place on the top of your list!
